Man with the big top-ten losses last week, this should be
quite a conundrum for the BCS trying to piece together the bowl lineup!!
Either way, my guys and I are still tailgating!! There are no games here
in CO, but I just got the new Tailgater from work at DISH Network. It's a
mini-satellite dish that lets me take my live TV to the game or party!!

Good points. To be honest, I'm not sure a poll should come out until at least a month into the season. Much of my philosophy has been to move up teams who were ranked when they win, especially if they win big. You are right, they OK, Bama, Stanford and Nebraska all won rent-a-win games. The next few weeks should show everything. I did jump LSU to number 5.

When your number one team Oregon gets dismantled by LSU - why is it that OK, Bama, Stanford and Nebraska ( all of whom beat rent-a-win teams) get ranked higher than LSU, who proved to be the best as of NOW.

What have you seen the other 4 do against a much weaker / unranked team that showed that they belong there.

You are falling into the same trap as other pre-season polls - clinging to your rankings without re-evaluating because doing so would mean that you were wrong ( and it is not within the human mind to do that without an ego blow).

I agree. I haven't been around to watch Tyler much, but he showed a lot against Auburn last year. I think he'll be fine, and, as you said, he is much more mobile than Ryan.

Thanks for the link. Tyler Wilson did go toe-to-toe with Cam Newton last year. Over the last 3 years (he was out most of one with mono) he's really built his frame and worked to have his offensive mindset with Bobby Petrino's. Physically he's more like Chase Daniel from Missouri a few years back. He's mobile enough to evade sacks where Defenses would catch Ryan Mallett last year.

I've seen prettier girls at TCU! LOL The lovely ladies at these campuses are always a good reason for a recruit to consider a school! Of course, um, academics are the best reason, right?
